Behold the fabulousness!!
Payday has arrived, and with it my first splurge!! I've been eyeing up this beauty from Firetrap for about two months but managed to avoid a purchase as I didn't think I'd ever actually wear it.
Now I've booked a holiday and put in some gym time its a whole different story and my steely(ish) resolve cracked!
I ordered it at lunchtime, and its now winging its way to me - eek!
As you can tell I'm slightly excited!! As I'm a bit on the titchy side it will probably need taking up, but I'm thinking with high gladiators (more on the beauties I spotted in Kurt Geiger later) and huge sunnies I'll be on to a winner!
What do you think ladies?!

I can't live without....
My Urban Decay Brow Box!
This little box of tricks is currently my favourite thing in the world. It was part of my Christmas pressie from my bestie after I spyed hers in her make up box and was intrigued.
It contains the dinkiest set of tweezers you ever did see, clear wax, a little slanted brush and 2 brow powders. The shade I have is called honey pot and contains a light colour which is good for day wear and a darker colour which is fab for nights out or more dramatic looks.
It also has really cute packaging and is ideal to throw in your makeup bag for touch ups.
The only downside I've found is that I'm not a massive fan of the wax and much prefer to use clear mascara after filling my brows.
That being said its currently the first thing I chuck in my makeup bag in the morning!
P.S sorry about the wonky pic - I'm not doing too well with this new phone!!

If at first you don't succeed....
Then give up! Or so I figured when I took up spinning classes.
On this occasion, however I'm on a mission to find a sheer foundation and I won't give up until I've found one that fits the bill.
After getting over yesterday's misadventure with Olay's offering (Oompa Loompa is not the look I'm going for), I gave 17's Sheer Moisture Foundation a whirl. As you can tell the bank balance is flagging a bit at the moment - hopefully after payday I'll be trying out some non-shoestring options!
Anyway I was almost pleasantly suprised with this one. The light shade was a reasonable match for my complexion and it seemed to blend well too. It didn't have the best staying power, and was a little bit cakey in places but it certainly knocked the socks off olay's effort!! Plus it was about a fiver which I think is an absolute bargain!

Worst. Product. Ever.
In an attempt to prepare myself for the summer I purchased Olay complete care touch of foundation. I was hoping it would be just what I was looking for - a nice sheer base for summer, as I like to let my skin breathe for at least part of the year!
What I got was none of the above. I went for fair as I figured it would be the closest match to my pasty northern complexion - how wrong could I be?! It went on patchy and I looked like I was wearing (very badly applied) fake tan. Then when I attempted to blend it it congealed on my skin and peeled (!) off!!
Very bad times.
Needless to say I'll be sticking with the bourjois 10hr sleep effect this summer unless anyone has any suggestions?!

NOTD!
Given the fact that I change my nail polish on an almost daily basis I thought I'd blog about it. Given the horrible rainy weather I went with a rather tropical bluey green colour today. The colour is Peacock from Boots 17, it would look great with a tan!
