Slackness and New Job

I've been completely neglecting this for the last week or so, mainly because I've just started a new job!

Once I'm back into a routine I'll be back to boring you with my drivel, I promise! :)

Shoes, Fabulous Shoes!!

Even though I promised myself that I wouldn't spend anything until payday I had a moment of weakness today when I spotted these beauties in River Island. Though I love my Uggs with all my heart, now that its getting a bit warmer I'm looking forward to going back to my spring wardrobe of skinnies and flats!

True to form I was drawn by the sparkles and leopard print, maybe I should start leaving my debit card at home!!

The Preparation Station!!

Here are a few pics of my tiny wee dressing room (as inspired by BUBBLEGARM!).



This is where I store all of my make up/cosmetics the stacked boxes are from Next (I think!) and the little cupboards come from ebay, I think they were meant to be cd storage but I took a couple of the shelves out and Hey Presto!!

This is where the magic happens!! The dressing table, mirror and stool are all from Ebay, they jewellery mannequin was a present and the boxes are from Next.

Abstinence (or lack of!!) & Mac mini haul

So my new year's resolution was to try and abstain from impulse beauty buys, which was going quite well until his week!

I wasn't really grabbed by anything in the new Hello Kitty collection after seeing swatches online but somehow I ended up getting sucked in. I decided to pop to the local Mac concession (oh how I wish we had a stand alone shop, but thats another rant for another day!) and came away with the brush set, Tippy blush, Popster and Pink Fish tinted lip conditioners and Cutester lipstick. I'm happy with some purchases and not so happy with others.

On the whole the actual products are great (especially Pink Fish which I absolutely adore), but the brush set was a major let down. Sure, its got the cute factor but the brushes themselves were not at all impressive. I compared the 187 in the set to my full size brush and there is no comparison!!

Oh well, at least it looks nice on my dressing table!
